1. People want to lose weight because they want to look good physically. With this motive in mind, chances are you will not succeed in achieving your goal. With this goal in mind it will then serve as a motivation for you to go on a weight loss plan since you are doing it for yourself and your well being.

2. Losing weight should not be taken lightly, since it is pure hard work. You need to be able to commit yourself to it. It is a lifetime commitment, once you start losing the pounds it doesn’t end there. When you attain your ideal weight you have to maintain it. Your obligation is to be able to sustain that weight loss and to achieve that you need a total change of lifestyle. Change should be thorough from your eating habits to your daily physical activities. Make your weight loss permanent.

3. You set high goals for yourself. This could be a great source of frustration, since setting high expectations is like setting yourself for failure. Do not aim for unrealistic goal to avoid meltdown. Take things one day at a time with determination to succeed. Your goals should be short range, and realistic. But, prepare yourself for possible setbacks. It does happen to everyone, what is important is to learn from these setbacks and use them to move on and do things better.

4. You skip meals thinking that you will lose more weight in doing so. This is so wrong, starving yourself doesn’t make your body burn fats. Why not have small meals like every two to three hours everyday? This is to make your body think that it is in a rich situation and that it doesn’t need to store extra fats. Balanced diet is still the best way to go, eat those kinds of food that are organic and rich in fiber. These are natural food that helps your body burn fat fast and in a natural way.

Trying to lose 10 pounds in a week is not easy. But with determination and consistency you will get what you want.
